Animal rights for better society
In early times human race is living on this earth with balance in nature. There was a right balance of humans, plants and animals on this earth. However, with passage of time this balance got disturbed. With increasing population and urbanization plants and animals both are suffering to great deal. This has also disturbed the balance of nature and result in population, diseases and disturbed ecosystem. Ever increasing human civilization is forgetting about animal rights. They have overlooked the fact that animals have equal right on this earth as humans do.
However, nowadays animals are considered as private commodity which can be used for purpose of food, guardians, source of entertainment, research tools, etc. People are using animals for research purpose for decades. In medical sciences also animals are being used as experimental commodities for years. In these experimental procedures these animals goes through pain and then discarded. In many cases they are not even beneficiaries of results of research or medical procedures.
Other than that large number of animals goes through daily abuse and cruelty. In many south Asian countries animals are used for purpose of transportation of heavy goods even in present times. In such countries animals do not have any animal rights. However, in many western countries there are laws against people who punish their pets physically and intentionally.
In these countries there are many animal charities and organization looking after animal’s rights. One such organization is PETA stands for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. This organization stands for right of animals and prevents their use in research processes.
Animal right should be protected by owners of animals for domestic and pet animals. They should fulfill basic necessities of animals which include shelter, food, care and proper medical treatment to their pets. For pet traders it should be important to maintain proper balance for animal care and profits. Helping such traders by purchasing their animal would also benefit other animals as trader would be able to take care of new comer. Support should also be provided to rescuers and animal charities to support animal rights and care.
Endangered animals and especially suffering violence should be immediately reported to law enforcement people as they can secure animal and can be find better living place in near future.
Like other living beings it is basic animal right to live an independent and secure life in their natural habitat. Domestic animals and animals used for business purpose should be provided with basic right of food and shelter along with care. Any trader use animals as private commodity and mistreat them should be reported immediately. Animal hunting for sake of fun and amusement should be prohibited completely. Conservation of natural animal habitat is basic right of animal. Any effects of deforestation and pollution should be observed on animals as for humans. This will help to protect large number of endangered animals.
Animals should be provided with complete freedom as it is also their basic right. Using wild animals for entertainment should be banned. It is responsibility of every person to respect basic rights of every other living thing on this planet. Animals are no exception. Animal rights should be defined and enforced by governments in every part of world.
